Rob was born in Borne (the Netherlands) in 1975, he is a photographer and self-publisher of slow-form documentary workHe is also the former artistic director of FOTODOK.

He has been working with Arnold Van Bruggen Since 2007 to tell the story of Sochi, Russia, site of the 2014 Winter Olympic Game they called this 'the Sochi project' .
